In a speech that he gave in Indonesia, former U.S. President Barack Obama indirectly suggested that US citizens suppress their interests as U.S. nationals in favor of a global governance framework.
Obama spoke about an inflection point, the hint being that, with Trump at the helm, Obama is fearful that the country will move one or two steps back from the aggressive framework toward greater government control and especially greater global control over people.
All of this was couched in language that was dismissive of global terror attacks and he appeared to blame non-violent citizenry for violence inflicted upon them.
Of course, it’s unclear why Obama thinks he is still relevant. Every other President has taken a back seat once their time in office was over.
